Purpose:  To establish an ecosystem of honorable service providers and an effective professional development system that rewards performance and ensures high quality service delivery and outcomes for Better Insurance Clients.

We build our Preferred Vendor network on a simple belief:  Businesses thrive when they take care of the people who make their success possible. 

 

Our Preferred Vendor Network isn't a good ole' boy club - it's about partnership with service providers who share our commitment to integrity, quality, and taking care of both employees and customers.

If you deliver excellent work and operate with honesty, you'll have a worthy partner in Better Insurance.   

What We Stand For

The Standard

We expect honest communication with clients, quality workmanship, and accountability for results.  We provide steady referral flow, same-day payment, business optimization support, and a network reputation built on excellence.

Your work volume is commensurate with performance.  No politics, no favoritism - just merit and integrity driving good outcomes for good people.  

NOTE:  We do not endorse any specific commercial brand, chain, franchise, or entity.  Each individual repair shop, mechanic, shop, or service must stand on its own merit, and be able to account for its own performance, customer service, professionalism, and results.

What This Network Provides

We promote and support vendors through partnership, professional development, and clearly defined processes and outcomes.  With Better Insurance, our vendors receive more than just a referral source for work.  We are dedicated to vendor success through high performance with clear-cut standards, feedback, and identification of opportunities for growth and improved outcomes.  

You'll receive organizational health assessments at no cost - diagnostic tools that identify operational improvements and growth opportunities.  When challenges arise, we provide actionable solutions, not just performance warnings.  We've helped vendors optimize processes, improve outcomes, and increase profitability through process improvement and innovation.

Performance analytics show where you excel and where opportunities exist.  Quarterly or annual reviews track progress depending on the needs of your business.  Support is available when you need it - not mandated unless performance declines.

The Process

 

Joining the Network - How to Apply

  1. Submit Application - Basic business credentials and service capabilities

  2. Take Vendor Assessment - Self-evaluation covering performance, professionalism, pricing, and client satisfaction

  3. Review - We evaluate fit based on standards and values alignment (performance is easier to fix than a lack of integrity or morality)

  4. Onboarding - Payment setup, system access, expectations review

  5. Activation - Begin receiving referrals matched to your capabilities

  6. Sustainment - Continually perform with a 5-star satisfaction & performance rating to remain an Elite Preferred Vendor

What Success Looks Like

High-performing vendors in our network maintain 4.5+ star ratings, complete work efficiently, and build strong client relationships.  They see more referral volume than average performers.

 

They're not perfect - they're committed.  They address problems, implement improvements, and maintain high standards.  That's what we recognize and reward.​​

Zero-Tolerance Vendor Policy

Vendors who attempt to bill non-value-added fees - including storage charges caused by internal capacity constraints, workflow mismanagement, or deliberate delay - will be immediately removed from the Preferred Vendor list. 

 

Such removals will be documented publicly to deter similar conduct. The long-standing excuse that “insurance will pay for it” does not apply here and will not be entertained.  These standards are non-negotiable.

 

Any attempt to exploit claims processes, pad invoices, or shift the cost of internal inefficiency onto clients or the network will result in permanent removal and blacklisting from the Better Insurance ecosystem.  There is no appeal, reinstatement, or secondary review for violations of this policy.

 

Vendor Protection Against False Accusations and Bad-Faith Claims

Better Insurance does not tolerate Clients who lie about vendors, fabricate complaints, exaggerate misconduct, or attempt to weaponize claims processes to damage service providers dishonestly.

 

Vendors operating within our network are accountable professionals working under documented standards, service records, and contractual obligations.  False allegations against vendors are not consumer advocacy - they are fraud.

 

We will not allow Clients to exploit grievance tactics, reputational sabotage, or coordinated complaint activity as leverage against vendors who perform their duties honorably.

Our Standard

Vendor complaints are evaluated strictly against objective evidence, including invoices, service records, timestamps, photographs, and documented communications.

  • Complaints found to be false, exaggerated, retaliatory, or fabricated will result in immediate termination of the Client relationship.

  • Clients who knowingly submit dishonest accusations will be permanently barred from Better Insurance services and benefits.

  • We reserve the right to document and disclose bad-faith conduct when necessary to protect vendors and preserve the integrity of the network.

 

Mistakes can be addressed.  Dishonest accusations cannot.

If a Client has a legitimate issue, it will be handled between Better Insurance and the Vendor.
If a Client attempts to destroy a Vendor’s reputation without just cause or through fraudulent means, that Client will be removed and all benefits forfeited per the material breach provisions of their contract.

Better Insurance is built on contract integrity, evidence, and accountability.

You will not be sacrificed to appease dishonest Clients.
You will not be pressured to absorb false claims or reputational attacks.
You will not be subjected to grievance-based extortion.

Vendors who operate honorably and transparently will be defended.

Vendors have a duty to report bad faith Clients, altercations, or dishonest dealings to Better Insurance.
Clients who act in bad faith will be removed.  

These standards are enforced consistently and without exception.

Performance & Support

How We Measure Performance

Your overall rating is calculated from three equal sources:

  1.  Your Self-Assessment (33%) - Evaluation you complete (Annual or Quarterly depending on the situation)

  2.  Client Feedback (33%) - Ratings from customers we refer to you

  3.  Better Insurance Review (33%) - Our professional assessment of your work

This balanced approach ensures fairness and accuracy.  No single source can unfairly impact your standing.

Performance Tiers & Referral Volume

⭐ 4.5+ stars - High Performer
Maximum referral volume and priority consideration.  You're exceeding standards.

 

⭐ 4.0-4.4 stars - Standard Performer
Steady referral flow.  You're meeting our standards consistently.

 

⭐ 3.5-3.9 stars - Development
Reduced referrals while we support your improvement.  Organizational Health Assessment available to help identify growth opportunities.

 

⭐ Below 3.5 stars - Improvement Required
Organizational Health Assessment mandatory.  We'll work together on a 90-day improvement plan. Referrals significantly reduced until performance improves.

Organizational Health Assessment

What it is:  A confidential business diagnostic tool that identifies operational strengths and improvement opportunities across leadership, communication, employee satisfaction, resources, and processes.

When it's offered:  Available anytime you want to optimize your business, or when your rating falls into the Development tier (3.5-3.9 stars).

When it's required:  Mandatory if your rating drops below 3.5 stars.

What happens next:  We analyze results together, identify 2-3 priority improvements, and create a practical 90-day action plan.  You're not alone - we provide resources, guidance, and support throughout.

Cost to you:  Zero.  This is part of our partnership.

Our philosophy:  Most performance issues have identifiable, fixable root causes.  The OHA helps us diagnose what's holding you back so we can help you succeed.

Better Insurance Preferred Vendors are expected to consistently perform at or above a 4.0-star rating based on our triangulated assessment system:

  • Vendor self-reporting

  • Better Insurance audits

Vendors below this threshold may apply, but acceptance, promotion, and referral volume are prioritized for those who meet or exceed this standard consistently.
